I'm thinking about getting a book of sock knitting pattern's, I've seen a few on
Amazon, but I don't know which one to get. The only sock pattern I've used is the free pattern that came with my Opal sock yarn, so I'd like to try something different. I was wondering if anyone can recommend any?

I have heard many good things about _Knitting on the Road_ by Nancy Bush. The reviews on Amazon seem pretty good.
Good luck finding one! ;)
I just bought: "Socks, socks, socks" trou Amazon. In that book you can find all kinds of patterns, many, many different techniques and styles. This is a book containing more than variations of a base concept. Going throu these socks you will learn a lot of new techniques.
I especially like the ones on the cover though I probably never will have the patiance to knit them.
I have no other sock book to compare with so there might be better books I do not know about out there...
I like Knitting on the Road, and I just bought both The Sock Calander and The Sock Journal- both are great.
I'm enjoying Socks Socks Socks at the moment. This has been my first pattern change since using the Opal pattern too. I've got Knitting on the Road and a few others, but then I've got a bit of a problem with a little sock yarn addiction, so need plenty of info to keep me going!
Knitting on the road is very good, with fun variations and socks in different yarns. Socks socks socks also looks very interesting. I think it's actually from a competition with all the winners presented in the book. :-)
